  • KhattarWong Annual MasterClass series

The KhattarWong annual MasterClass was created with the vision of encouraging knowledge-sharing and camaraderie. The aim is for every department to hold its own MasterClass, providing a platform for inter-department knowledge sharing within the firm.

In 2007, the Corporate Department kicked off the MasterClass series with a lively two-day weekend event at the Siloso Beach Resort, Sentosa.

The following year, the Litigation MasterClass 2008 was held on the 22nd and 23rd August at the Grand Plaza Park Hotel. Besides sharing insight on topics including Shipping, IP, Employment and Criminal Law, a hands-on Advocacy Workshop was conducted by Ms Deborah Barker, SC, head of Litigation & Dispute Resolution Department.

The Banking, Finance and Property Master Class took place over one and a half days in December 2009. The event saw Partners and Associates from the department exchanging insights on topical subjects such as Legal Opinions from Foreign Jurisdictions, Recent Developments Relating to Conveyancing Law, Banking Documentation and CPF Procedures and Regulations in a collaborative and informal setting. Colleagues from the Litigation department were at hand to speak on Enforcement of Security by Banks and a case study on a recent en bloc sale. Two external guest speakers, Dr Y L Ong and Mr Allen Pathmarajah, were also invited to share their expertise respectively on the Psychology of Handling Difficult Clients and Accelerating Your Leadership Journey. The event was well attended not only by members of the Banking, Finance and Property department but other departments and fostered stronger ties among all.

  • The Management and Development Programme

Catered for the Firm’s secretaries and paralegals, the programme is designed to evaluate and improve skill sets. The programme assesses their roles and responsibilities and aims to enhance their skills and abilities.

  • KW Young Leaders Programme

This programme is a long-term progressive initiative to guide, develop and nurture our young lawyers. This is part of KhattarWong's Succession Strategy and aims to:

- Enhance each individual's quality and capacity as a young leader
- Impart collaborative and leadership skills
- Enhance organisational alignment and commitment

  • KW Advanced Leaders Programe

This programme has been developed to provide executive coaching on leadership for our Senior Associates which will set the pace for an intensive EQ leadership development.

The training will also involve developing and improving our Senior Associates’ business and client development skills.

  • KW Leadership Development: Coaching & Mentoring Programme

This programme aims to inculcate and nurture a supportive and learning culture in KW. Starting with the key drivers in the Firm, the Partners are imparted with the coaching and mentoring skills which will encourage the two-way exchange of ideas and experiences with their team.
