KhattarWong Partner Patrick Yeo, assisted by KhattarWong Partner Lim Hui Ying, acted for one of Singapore's largest motor insurers. They have successfully defended an insured school van driver in a traffic accident caused by the reckless and negligent actions of a motorcyclist riding a high performance motorcycle. The motorcyclist who fractured his limbs had sued the insured school van driver, claiming she cut into his path while performing an illegal U-turn. However the judge said that he could have avoided the crash by reducing his speed and riding in a safe and proper manner. The judge found the motorcyclist mostly to blame for the accident. The motorcyclist was  found 75% liable.
