Litigators fighting for Frenchman’s innocence Print

Frenchman Pilhion was charged with trying to smother his ex-lover, Jocelyn Pohl at the apartment they were sharing in Kembangan.  He was also charged with using criminal force on Pohl and voluntarily causing hurt to her.

Pohl painted Pilhion as financially weak, telling the court that he had never had a job and that he had lied about going for job interviews. However, documents were presented to the court proving that Pilhion had not lied about going for interviews as what Pohl had alleged. On top of that, Pilhion’s credit card statements showed that he had paid for all airfares, car rentals, bar and restaurant tabs and stays in five-star hotels during the couple’s Europe trip, which cost about $35,000.

Contrary to Pohl’s testimony that Pilhion was scrounging off her, documents also show that he is the co-owner of a fashion company in Paris and has registered a translation firm here. It was also proven in court that he also owns an apartment in a posh area in Paris.

Lawyers P.E. Ashokan and Susie Ann Smith are representing Pilhion. The names of the lawyers and KhattarWong were mentioned in the newspaper articles.
