22 November 2011 Senior Counsel, Deborah Barker supported by Senior Associate Leon Le Lyn and Ushan Premaratne are defending Mdm Genevieve Ng in a lawsuit filed by her step-mother, Malaysian businesswoman, Ms Anna Wee. Ms Wee is claiming for a portion of a S$28.8 million trust in which she said that it is part of matrimonial assets. Ms Wee also claimed that her Singaporean ex-husband Mr Ng Hock Seng (Mdm Ng’s father) who died in 2004, had dishonestly misrepresented to her that he did not have the funds to support their family during their 10-year marriage, where he had amassed assets of over US$20 million placed in four separate trusts for his children. |
