23 November 2011 NTUC Income has appealed successfully to the High Court with regards to a reduction of a claim for loss of future earnings by traffic accident victim, Ms Toh Wai Yee. Ms Toh was left bedridden and in a vegetative state due to the said accident over 3 years ago. The initial sum of $3m worth of total damages which has been reduced to half after the appeal, was believed to be the highest amount reported in a traffic accident. Partner K.
