KhattarWong engages audience in Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act Print

KhattarWong participated in the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act seminar which was organised by the Singapore Insurance Institute on 27 November 2008.

Held at STI Auditorium, the seminar was well attended by more than 100 industry and insurance practitioners from various insurance companies such as Allianz Insurance Company of Singapore Pte Ltd, Acclaim Insurance Brokers Pte Ltd, Aviva Ltd, AXA Insurance Singapore Pte Ld, NTUC Income, Prudential Assurance Company Singapore (Pte) Limited, Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance Plc and UOB Life Assurance Limited, etc.

Together with another speaker, Mr K Anparasan, Deputy Managing Partner, gave useful insights on the amendments to the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) ct.[CP(FT)A] which was recently introduced by the Parliament. The key topics covered a discussion on the unfair insurance practices and the impact of the new Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) act to the Insurance and Financial services. 

The seminar came to a close with a question and answer session which was facilitated by Mr Patrick Yeo, Partner, Litigation & Dispute Resolution Department.
