| KhattarWong raises SGD 185,000 for the Children's Cancer Foundation |  |

7 April 2011 – KhattarWong's Charity Golf Tournament 2011 was held on 7th April at Tanah Merah Country Club, in support of the Children's Cancer Foundation (CCF). Organised and run by KhattarWong for the 3rd time, the charity golf tournament is the crown jewel of our firm's numerous Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives. Attended by guest-of-honour Dr Lee Boon Yang, Member of Parliament for Jalan Besar GRC, this event raised gross total of $185,000 for the Children’s Cancer Foundation through proceeds from the sale of golf flights and dinner tables, cash, and in-kind donations from clients and friends of KhattarWong. The afternoon of golf culminated in a dinner attended by golfers, sponsors, and Partners of the firm, who were serenaded by the guest band comprising of well known individuals H.E. Tan Soo Khoon as well as Noor Quek. The CCF had also set up a booth selling merchandise during the dinner, which saw more generous donations from our guests. “In addition to delivering top-notch legal solutions and services in Singapore and the region, we at KhattarWong believe that true success can only come when we learn to reach beyond material accomplishments, both in respect of the communities around us as well as the colleagues we work with on a daily basis,” said Mr Abdul Rashid Gani, Senior Partner of KhattarWong, who is also the Chairman of the Organising Committee. Apart from the charity golf tournament, KhattarWong had also engaged aspiring lawyers at the National University of Singapore’s (NUS) Law Careers Fair to do their part for the less privileged by pledging $5 for every signature collected to the CCF. With all signatures and well wishes collected from the students, KhattarWong donated $2,000 to the CCF and presented the signature board during the dinner as a memento to CCF. The Children's Cancer Foundation was set up in 1992 with a mission to improve the quality of life of children with cancer and their families through enhancing their emotional, social and medical well-being.
