The 23rd Singapore Law Review Annual Lecture 2011 titled “Singapore’s Casinos – Not a Game of Chance?” will be held on the 29th July 2011, 7 pm at Shaw Foundation Alumni House Auditorium, NUS Kent Ridge Campus. This Lecture is proudly sponsored by KhattarWong. It is part of KhattarWong's relentless efforts to create awareness of current legal issues and to foster discussion and interaction amongst law students, practitioners and the Judiciary. Senior Counsel Deborah Barker, Head of KhattarWong’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution Department, will be giving an opening speech at the event. Deborah was appointed Senior Counsel in 2001 and is a member of the Military Court of Appeal. She is a member of the committee of the Asean Law Association, Singapore and the Inter Pacific Bar Association. In addition, she has been frequently cited for her expertise in dispute resolution and labour and employment work in various publications, including Asialaw Leading Lawyers, The Asia Pacific Legal 500 and Who's Who in Legal Singapore.
