 Senior Counsel Deborah Barker, Head of Litigation & Dispute Resolution Department, was quoted at the Singapore Law Review Lecture in the Business Times on 30th July 2011. She said in her opening speech, 'The local legal industry is preparing to deal with issues that the integrated resorts will throw up in the coming years in areas such as tax, employment, technology, competition and criminal law.' She also added that, 'The Philippines has just announced plans to build its own version of Singapore's integrated resorts in director competition with us, while Japan is said to be considering a similar idea.'
