The Intellectual Property & Technology Department undertakes a wide spectrum of work relating to protection, commercialisation and enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights and Technology.

We advise and act for local and foreign clients in respect of contentious and non-contentious matters in Singapore and overseas relating to their Intellectual Property Rights.

Our services include:

  • Advising and managing the portfolios of Intellectual Property Rights.
  • Advising on major corporate transactions that involve Intellectual Property Rights.
  • Advising on agreements relating to the creation and the right to use any Technology.
  • Advising on the use of Intellectual Property Rights and other issues relating to the Internet.
  • Advising on pre-use infringement risks, and on infringement issues, and assisting to resolve disputes relating to Intellectual Property Rights.
  • Advising on all major commercial arrangements that create, develop and/ or commercialise Intellectual Property Rights whether through research collaboration, technology transfers, distributorships, franchising and/or other similar commercial structures.
  • Conducting opposition, invalidation and revocation proceedings of trade marks in Singapore.
  • Devising and advising on protection strategy of Intellectual Property Rights worldwide, including legal aspects of international branding and technology protection.
  • Enforcing Intellectual Property rights in Singapore through civil and criminal proceedings.
  • Prosecution and registration of Intellectual Property Rights internationally, including for trade marks, patents and registered designs.
  • The conduct of due diligence on the Intellectual Property Rights in major corporate transactions.
