KhattarWong’s Sports Law Practice Group has lent its expertise to a wide range of sports related legal issues and all aspects of business activity involving sports such as the manufacture of sports equipment, sponsorships, intellectual property rights and distribution and business collaborations. Over the years, the Practice Group has advised Government agencies such as the Singapore Sports Council and leading National Sport Associations. They have also assisted event organizers and sponsors, sport business consultants, sports agencies, sports clubs, athletes and other stakeholders of sports. KhattarWong is also proud to have been appointed the Official Legal Services Sponsor for the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games. Our Sports Law Practice Group provided legal services and assistance to the Singapore Youth Olympic Games Organising Committee on a wide range of issues concerning the organisation and management of the inaugural Youth Olympic Games. Led by Senior Consultant Annabel Pennefather, a pioneer sports law practitioner and Vice President of the Singapore National Olympic Council and Former Vice President of the International Hockey Federation, KhattarWong’s Sports Law Practice Group also draws on the experience of partners from its various departments, including the Corporate and Securities Laws Department and Intellectual Property and Technology Department and the experience of its Foreign Consultant leading international sports lawyer Stephen Townley to provide a comprehensive approach to the requirements of its clients in the sports industry.
